Reviews and Ratings
I found the hotel to be reasonably priced with comfortable, clean rooms, though it was a bit of a trek to downtown Banff. The pool area was a letdown due to overwhelming chlorine levels that made it uncomfortable to stay. While the beds were nice, the overall condition of the facilities left much to be desired.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel as part of my Canada tour. The hotel features clean and tidy rooms and offers complimentary local bus services with your room key, which makes it convenient to explore the area despite being a bit further from downtown Banff. The breakfast buffet was impressive, but some aspects of the hotel, like the decor and gym, feel a bit dated. Overall, it’s a good option if you don't mind a short walk or bus ride into the main area.
My stay at the Banff Caribou Lodge was a bit of a mixed bag. While the restaurant offered excellent breakfasts and I received helpful advice from staff member Joe, I encountered issues during check-in with a not-so-friendly receptionist, and the room cleanliness was hit or miss. The location was convenient for exploring Banff, but some aspects of service and facilities left much to be desired.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While it had a clean atmosphere and the staff tried their best, the rooms felt dated and the facilities were disappointing. The absence of a working pool and sauna during my stay was particularly letdown. Overall, I felt it wasn't worth the price we paid.
